[Saba Sports News] According to Spanish media reports, Barcelona’s South Stand fan group was recently fined, and Barcelona star Raphinha has expressed his willingness to pay the fine out of his own pocket. Barcelona will host Alaves in this round of La Liga, but the South Stand fan group will be missing in support due to their failure to fulfill an agreement with the club to pay fines incurred from their songs and chants. The South Stand comprises four fan organizations totaling nearly 600 people, and they were closed in November 2024 due to not paying a fine of approximately €21,000. Joan Laporta had informed them that if they did not pay the fine, they would be banned from entry, and with no response, Barcelona ultimately decided to revoke the fan group’s qualification. In response, Raphinha expressed his willingness to help fans pay the fine to resolve the issue. Raphinha’s actions not only boosted the morale of the fan group but also brought hope to Barcelona during a difficult time. The importance of fan groups in football culture cannot be underestimated, and Raphinha’s decision aims to rebuild trust with fans and further strengthen the connection between the team and its supporters.
