According to German media, the 20-year-old Pavlović has missed two weeks due to glandular fever, missing four matches and also missing the current UEFA Nations League games with the German national team. Reports indicate that Pavlović is expected to continue his absence for another two weeks. However, if the blood test results are not favorable at that time, the total absence period could extend to six weeks. Bayern Munich will not risk his premature return, as their city rivals, 1860 Munich, have had unfortunate precedents: player Olaf Boden suffered from glandular fever in 1996 and only returned in 1997, but rushed back too soon, leading to a relapse and eventual retirement in December 1997 at the age of 29.
