[Saba Sports News] Kevin Durant isn’t feeling the love from Suns fans lately.
The Phoenix star got into another social media spat on Sunday, this time taking aim at his own team’s supporters.
It started when an X user tagged Durant in a video of Dirk Nowitzki highlights, writing, “When you talk about iso efficiency this is what we mean @KDTrey5.” Durant clapped back with, “Why u tag me and not dirk,” which sparked a wider debate about his isolation-heavy playing style.
After being accused of excessive dribbling, Durant defended himself, posting, “3 turnovers in 36 minutes a game. 20 dribbles is over exaggerating but I’ve learned Suns fans do that when they wanna prove a point bout how much they want me off the team.”
He later deleted the post, but the message was clear: the relationship between Durant and Suns fans is getting rocky.
Despite putting up strong individual numbers this season — 26.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game — the Suns struggled to find team chemistry, finishing below .500 and missing even the Play-In Tournament. That failure has led to growing criticism of Durant’s fit in Phoenix, with many fans calling for the team to trade him this offseason.
Durant, one of the few movable stars on a cap-strapped roster, has heard the noise — and isn’t holding back on social media.
