[Saba Sports News] According to Brazilian media reports, Santos is optimistic about Neymar Junior’s recovery. The Brazilian star began treatment a few days ago, and the new rehabilitation plan differs from the one used when he suffered another muscle injury in his left thigh last month. The new plan includes daily double-cycle training sessions. Previously, after undergoing single-cycle rehabilitation training, Neymar was allowed to return home to continue his recovery, during which he often handled a large number of off-field affairs. Now, the club believes he has become more aware of the importance of focusing on rehabilitation, with the aim of returning to high-level competition as soon as possible. Santos advises him to reduce his outings to avoid aggravating his injury, and his cooperation has received positive feedback. The new plan will be led by the club’s medical team, with Neymar undergoing several days of double-cycle intensive rehabilitation training, replacing the previous model managed by his private team. This move aims to gain clearer control over the recovery process. Despite bringing a professional team upon his return, the club insists that its own medical group should lead the treatment. After being sidelined for 42 days due to his first injury, Neymar returned but soon suffered another injury. He has already missed last week’s match against Sao Paulo, and there is currently no clear timeline for his return. Aside from the domestic league, Santos also has a third-round first leg match in the Copa do Brasil in early May, but it remains unclear whether Neymar will be able to return for that game.
