[Saba Sports News] Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green’s long-standing disdain for Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert is well known — but he just found a new way to put it on display.
During Thursday’s shootaround, 95.7 The Game posted a video of Green getting shots up. While the clip showed Green draining the only attempt featured, fans quickly noticed something even more striking: the staffer rebounding for him was wearing a Rudy Gobert jersey.
The detail didn’t go unnoticed, and social media lit up with reactions praising the petty move as peak Draymond. It served as yet another reminder of how deeply Green’s grudge against Gobert runs — and how creative he’s willing to get in expressing it.
Their feud peaked in 2023 when Green notoriously put Gobert in a chokehold during a game. Though Green crossed a line that night, he’s since made it clear the animosity hasn’t faded.
That edge may be fueling his play — Green delivered an inspired Game 1 performance in the Western Conference semifinals, dropping 18 points and hitting four threes in a 99-88 win over Minnesota.
With Steph Curry currently sidelined, Green may need to keep producing — and having Gobert as his opponent might be all the motivation he needs.
