[Saba Sports News] The Denver Nuggets pulled off a crucial playoff win on Friday despite Nikola Jokic delivering one of his roughest postseason outings—and fans definitely took notice.
Jokic finished with 20 points, 16 rebounds, and 6 assists in Denver’s 113-104 overtime victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 3 of their Western Conference semifinal at Ball Arena.
While his stat line may seem respectable, his actual performance left much to be desired by his usual standards. Jokic committed eight of the team’s 14 turnovers and shot just 8-of-25 from the field, including a brutal 0-for-10 from three-point range.
His off night sparked widespread fan reactions, particularly from those pushing back against the idea that Jokic lacks a strong supporting cast. With expectations sky-high—especially after Jokic showed up in a bold pregame outfit reminiscent of his “Joker” nickname—it was instead Jamal Murray, Michael Porter Jr., and Aaron Gordon who carried the load.
The trio combined for 63 points to lift Denver to a 2-1 series lead, and fans were quick to point out that this time, Jokic had plenty of help.
