[Saba Sports News] According to British media reports, Liverpool has decided to cancel multiple celebration events due to a collision incident during the victory parade that injured 47 people. Following a serious accident during the victory parade on Monday, Liverpool has postponed a series of celebrations planned for Tuesday. It is reported that the accident occurred on Water Street when a car drove into the crowd celebrating Liverpool’s historic record-equaling achievement and winning their 20th Premier League title, injuring 47 people. It is understood that 27 people were taken to hospital, with two in critical condition including a child. A 53-year-old white male from Liverpool was arrested by the police. Various departments within the Liverpool club had planned to host internal events on Tuesday to celebrate the achievements made by the team in its first season under head coach Arne Slot. However, they were informed late Monday night that these celebrations had been canceled. The club said in an email, “We will continue to fully support emergency services and local authorities, and encourage our staff to stand together and support each other at this time.”
