[Saba Sports News] Four-time F1 world champion Sebastian Vettel is paving the way for a possible return to F1. Although he retired in 2022, he recently confirmed he is in talks with Red Bull Racing’s senior management, including motorsport advisor Helmut Marko. While the discussions are still in early stages, this move has already attracted widespread attention from fans and media. Vettel has deep ties with Red Bull Racing. His first F1 victory in 2008 came while driving for Red Bull’s sister team STR, and he then won four consecutive F1 world championships with Red Bull from 2010 to 2013, creating a golden era of his own. Despite not reaching the same heights after moving to Ferrari, his reputation and technical understanding remain respected in the F1 community. Industry speculation suggests that Vettel could become a successor to Marko. At 82 years old, Marko is a key figure behind Red Bull’s youth academy and talent strategy, and a mentor to top drivers like Max Verstappen. Marko himself has openly stated, “Having Vettel replace me is a plan I’ve considered.”
