[Saba Sports News] Indian badminton star Pusarla Venkata Sindhu is adjusting her playing style to adapt to the changing pace of women’s singles and her body’s response to high-intensity training. Recently, the 29-year-old visited the Sports Science Facility at the National Institute of Sports in Bangalore, where she underwent isokinetic strength testing to assess the muscle strength and functionality of her knees, hips, and shoulders. Over the past six months, Sindhu has been training intensively under Indonesian coach Irwansyah Adi Pratama at the Padukone Dravid Excellence Center in Bangalore, focusing on improving her endurance during matches and building her ability to engage in long rallies. In recent BWF Tour events, Sindhu often played three-set matches with many high-energy rallies. In an interview, she said that she now frequently plays 30 to 40 rally points, so her physical and endurance levels must keep up. She said Irwansyah’s training methods have been very helpful, and under his guidance, she maintains the best physical and mental condition.
