Pusarla Venkata Sindhu

Although she hasn’t had any standout achievements in the past two years, 30-year-old Indian former world champion Pusarla Venkata Sindhu still has a dream: to win a medal at this year’s Badminton World Championships held in her hometown of New Delhi, India.

Indian badminton star Pusarla Venkata Sindhu is adjusting her playing style to adapt to the changing pace of women’s singles and her body’s response to high-intensity training.

During the women’s singles event at the 2025 India Badminton Open, Chinese player Gao Fangjie was overturned by Thai player Chochuwong Pornpawee, missing out on the quarter-finals.
