[Saba Sports News] Since his youth, Kunlavut Vitidsarn has been the “star” at the center of the world badminton stage. From his unprecedented three consecutive World Junior Championship titles, to his recent World Championship titles, this Thai teenager has once again created legends in men’s singles. According to the information, Kunlavut was born in Bangkok into an ordinary family with a younger sister. His father is a badminton lover and a regular worker with limited income. When Kunlavut began to play badminton, the family could no longer afford the high coaching fees. At that time, Xie Zhihua was the coach at the BTY Club in Bangkok. He saw 8-year-old Kunlavut during a match and immediately remembered this clever child. During the match, Kunlavut was not afraid or nervous, and he played with great creativity. At that moment, Xie Zhihua felt that this child had a bright future. A few years later, when Kunlavut was 12, his parents brought him to the BTY Club for education, but they couldn’t afford the tuition. That year, Ratchanok Intanon became the first Thai woman to win the World Championships in women’s singles, which greatly boosted the popularity of badminton. At that time, the head of the BTY Club thought that if they could cultivate a male world champion, it would have a global impact. So the club decided to train Kunlavut for free. From age 12 to 14, Kunlavut practiced hard at the BTY Club. Starting at 14, he began participating in competitions, and all related costs were covered by the BTY Club.
