[Saba Sports News] After the All England Open in March, Gregoria Mariska Tunjung first experienced headaches due to vertigo. Things worsened during the Asian Badminton Championships in April, after which she decided to take a long break, and only returned to competition at the Japan Open earlier this month. Mariska said that when she resumed training, her vertigo did not occur, which she attributed to acupuncture treatment. She said, “After resuming training, my vertigo disappeared. I also underwent some acupuncture treatments specifically for vertigo. I feel the effects are very good. Yes, I’m now focusing on how to get back to my previous level. I feel much better, so I’m happy to finally return to the court after resting for a couple of months. I feel my body is improving, and I no longer have headaches or dizziness, so this is a positive sign. I’ve been doing acupuncture twice a week.” As one of the strong contenders for the 2025 TotalEnergies World Badminton Championships, Mariska hopes to reach her best form in Paris.
