[Saba Sports News] Current F1 Red Bull Racing driver Max Verstappen recently made his debut on the Nurburgring Nordschleife circuit. Verstappen’s goal was to obtain a Nurburgring A-permit license, qualifying him to participate in GT3 category races and the Nurburgring 24-hour endurance race. Although this debut was not about pursuing a specific result, it was an important step towards his participation in GT3 and the 24-hour race, as Verstappen plans to drive a Ferrari 296 GT3 in the ninth round of the NLS series in two weeks. This debut did not aim for victory but strictly followed the DPN (permit) licensing system to gradually accumulate experience on the challenging Nordschleife. Even with power restrictions, he still demonstrated adaptability to the complex track and changeable weather conditions. The editor believes this debut marks the official start of Verstappen’s journey in endurance racing, an important expansion of his racing career. If he achieves good results in GT3 and 24-hour endurance races in the future, it will further solidify his status as an “all-round driver” and open new career paths outside of F1.
