[Saba Sports News] Red Bull driver Max Verstappen has officially confirmed he will compete in this weekend’s Nurburgring Endurance Series (NLS) race at the Nurburgring Nordschleife, where he will drive a Ferrari GT3 car. Regarding this, Verstappen said, “Participating in these kinds of GT3 events is also a passion of mine. I can’t wait! I have a passion for racing that extends beyond Formula One. Every lap on the Nordschleife is a completely different experience. And the atmosphere there is fantastic, with many endurance racing fans present. Competing in categories outside of F1 is my hobby. My dream is to eventually compete in the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring Nordschleife. The Nordschleife is at the top of my list of tracks I most want to race on. It’s extremely challenging, demanding, very long, and has a tight, historic layout.” After obtaining his Nürburgring A-permit two weeks ago, the Dutch driver will make his GT3 debut at the “Green Hell,” partnering with British racing driver Chris Lulham.
