[Saba Sports News] According to the latest reports from Malaysian media, Zafrul, the Chairman of the Badminton Association of Malaysia, has been actively advocating for the association’s interests since taking office in May. Recently, Zafrul announced another positive development for staff and athletes: the meal budget for badminton athletes at the ABM cafeteria has been doubled. He emphasized the importance of nutrition for athletic performance, noting that at the elite level, minute differences can determine victory or defeat. Increasing the meal budget and introducing healthy food sponsors can provide athletes with higher quality, more scientific diets, helping them maintain optimal physical condition during training and competition, thereby enhancing their performance. The editor believes that in the context of intense international badminton competition, good treatment and security are crucial factors for attracting and retaining top athletes. By implementing measures such as improving meals, the Badminton Association of Malaysia can enhance its competitiveness, attract more promising young players to join the national team, and allow existing elite athletes to serve the national team with greater peace of mind.
