[Saba Sports News] According to US media reports, FIFA and the US government have launched the FIFA Pass to provide visa facilitation for fans attending the 2026 World Cup. However, the US government emphasized that holding a match ticket does not automatically guarantee a visa. A little over two weeks before the draw ceremony in Washington on December 5th, FIFA President Gianni Infantino is working to finalize organizational details for the 2026 World Cup, jointly hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the United States. During his meeting with US President Donald Trump at the White House, he secured some concessions from the US government, including the establishment of the FIFA Pass. Facing the cameras, Infantino and Trump confirmed that fans who purchase match tickets will enjoy streamlined US visa procedures. Specifically, the FIFA Pass will enable fans to schedule visa application appointments more quickly. Infantino stated during talks in Washington: “The United States welcomes the world. We have always said this World Cup will be the most beautiful and inclusive in history, and the FIFA PASS service is a very concrete example. The US is prepared to welcome fans from all over the world on an unprecedented scale. We will ensure that from the moment the tournament kicks off next June, football will unite the world in North America.”
