[Saba Sports News] According to UK media reports, next year’s World Cup will have the highest ticket prices in history. The World Cup group stage draw ceremony will take place this Saturday, with the specific schedule to be revealed the following day. Before the draw, very few people have managed to purchase affordable tickets, and currently, there are no tickets available for less than £1,000. In addition, FIFA will charge a 15% commission to both sellers and buyers when reselling tickets. Due to a record number of participating countries in this World Cup, there has been a surge in ticket demand, prompting FIFA to temporarily freeze the official ticket quota, which has led to skyrocketing prices. The England fan travel club has 27,000 members, but they can only secure 8% of the tickets for some of England’s matches in the World Cup, and in certain venues, they only have access to 3,600 tickets. Some fortunate fans have been able to purchase group stage tickets for between £85 and £125, while others must spend more to snag tickets after the fixed price tickets are sold out. Information from a ticket resale website indicates that tickets for the World Cup final are being listed for £32,967, with claims of high sales for premium seats. FIFA will open the next round of ticket sales on December 11, but the official price range has not yet been announced.
