[Saba Sports News] Recently, a significant drug smuggling case was uncovered in Rome, Italy, involving drugs emblazoned with the Juventus logo, with a street value of approximately €800,000. According to Italian media reports, police arrested 52-year-old local man Giovanni Nicolosi, who had previous drug-related offenses.
The incident actually occurred on the evening of December 23, when Nicolosi attempted to break through a checkpoint while driving a blue Fiat, ignoring the stop signal from the first patrol car. He was ultimately intercepted by a second police vehicle. During the subsequent search, investigators discovered 9 kilograms of cocaine hidden in a modified fake gas canister located in the spare tire compartment of the vehicle. Notably, these drugs were pressed into brick shapes, all bearing the Juventus logo.
Police estimate that this batch of drugs could be packaged into approximately 60,000 doses, with a market value of up to €800,000. The suspect is currently being held in custody, and during interrogation, he claimed to know nothing about the drugs. The Rome prosecutor’s office is conducting a detailed investigation to trace the source of this large quantity of drugs and identify the intended recipients.
