[Saba Sports News] Former F1 driver Ralf Schumacher recently expressed strong doubts about Ferrari’s preparations for the 2026 season, stating that based on the information currently available, the plans of this storied team appear to be a disaster from the start. In his view, Ferrari is attempting to cater to the differing driving preferences of drivers Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc by developing different technical directions, but this approach is fraught with risk.
Despite not winning a single race during the 2025 season, Ferrari hopes that an early shift towards strategies for 2026 will yield positive results in the new season. Finishing fourth last season has also given them a slight advantage in the distribution of aerodynamic testing time. However, Ralf Schumacher is not optimistic about this outlook. He bluntly stated that if the team is indeed trying to create two cars based on completely different philosophies, it would be equivalent to creating internal chaos. Schumacher believes a team cannot effectively pursue two completely different development strategies simultaneously, as this would not only divert resources but also lead to indecision in critical choices.
