As last season’s east-west rivalry, the matchup will be closely watched, especially as the new Big Three of Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving and Klay Thompson face off against the Wolves’ Anthony Edwards.

In the game, the scores of both sides rose alternately and both had excellent performances. The Lone Ranger eventually won 120-114 to further move up in the standings.
The Timberwolves started Jaden McDaniels, Julius Randle, Rudy Gobert, Edwards and Mike Conley. The Mavericks will start with Klay, Jalen Washington, Daniel Gafford, Irving and Doncic.
The game began with both sides hitting the basket, with the Mavericks leading the way with a 9-4 run. Edwards responded with a mid-range jumper and Gafod’s dunk added the points for the Mavericks. Then, Edwards hit two consecutive 3-pointers, the score bite. The two teams fell into a seesawing battle and the score rose alternately.
Edwards was especially impressive late in the first quarter, hitting 3-pointers from the perimeter to lead the Timberwolves to an eight-point lead at the end of the period. It is worth mentioning that the Timberwolves scored 34 points in the first quarter, Edwards alone scored 24 points, 6-of-8 shooting from beyond the arc, showing an impressive scoring ability, so that the Lone Ranger team is difficult to deal with.
