[Saba Sports News] Denver Nuggets forward Aaron Gordon was injured in a game against the Toronto Raptors that the Nuggets won 121-119. Gordon had been suffering from inflammation in his right calf, but he started the game as normal. However, he left the game four minutes into the game after being called for an offensive foul and walked back to the locker room on his own, failing to return to the game. Gordon had just three points and one assist in the game.
“To be honest, I was a little surprised he was able to play the last game,” Nuggets Coach Michael Malone told the Denver Post. The schedule has not been kind to us and I think he has a minor injury, not a long-term problem. But I will talk to our training team to get an update.”

In addition, Nuggets starting point guard Jamal Murray missed his second straight game after triggering the N.B.A.’s concussion protocol.
Gordon, who signed a four-year, $133 million contract extension before the season, is averaging 15.4 points, 6.7 rebounds and 3.1 assists this season. He was a key player in the Nuggets’ starting lineup and helped the team win its first championship in 2023. In addition, Gordon is shooting 55 percent from 3-point range this season, ranking in the top 10 among players who have taken at least 20 shots.
The Nuggets host the Oklahoma City Thunder tomorrow and are desperate to get back in shape for the rest of the season.
