Dan Bethell, a 28-year-old from Bath, UK, who has cerebral palsy, felt he was “terrible” when he first started playing badminton and thought his dream of participating in the Paralympics would “never come true.”

In the second round of women’s singles at the 2024 Denmark Badminton Open, South Korea’s Olympic champion An Se-young faced Thailand’s world champion Ratchanok Intanon.

In the men’s singles round of 16 at the Denmark Open, top seed Viktor Axelsen, competing at home, reportedly experienced health issues and requested to withdraw from the match, missing out on the quarterfinals.
