[Saba Sports News] According to British journalist Luke Edwards, Alexander Isak’s agent once assured him that he could force a move to Liverpool by going on strike. Edwards said, “Isak’s agent really messed him up. I absolutely don’t support Isak’s actions, but the agent promised him that if he went on strike and pressured the club, Liverpool would take him even without paying the full transfer fee. Now, he has upset his own fans and lost credibility in the entire football world, and the supposedly ‘guaranteed’ transfer is likely to fall through. He signed a six-year contract with no release clause, which was negotiated by the agent. It was a risky move to try to leave after just three years, but he still did it. Isak might still go to Liverpool, but the chances have been getting slimmer these past weeks. How to mend the relationship with the team remains unknown, but he definitely has to play next season. The sooner he realizes his mistake and publicly apologizes, the better. Playing well and scoring more goals will make the big move he wants come back next summer.
