[Saba Sports News] A track incident unfolded during the second practice session of the Spanish Grand Prix. When Lewis Hamilton’s Ferrari SF-25 was blocked by Lance Stroll’s car in the main straight, causing a chain reaction behind, following driver Fernando Alonso used the team radio to sarcastically comment: “Look, the hero of the day is right in front of us!” This remark immediately reignited a 18-year-old feud between the two rivals. The incident occurred at midday at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, where Hamilton ranked 11th due to balance issues, trailing teammate Charles Leclerc by 0.3 seconds. Alonso’s AMR25 raced to seventh place, just as he was closing in on the leaders. Hamilton’s car abruptly blocked the main straight, once again pointing the finger at their bitter 2007 rivalry—the McLaren internecine conflict that cost them both the World Championship title. After the race, technical data showed that Hamilton’s car required 2.3 times more steering corrections than Alonso’s in high-speed corners. Despite a faster lap by 0.4 seconds, Alonso lost crucial testing laps due to the obstruction. Back in the pits, Alonso told Spanish media, “This season, I’ll teach Hamilton what racing etiquette means.”
