The second most expensive on the list is José Mourinho, largely because Manchester United spent significant resources to secure the legendary coach. Mourinho earned 176 points for the club, while Amorim only managed 62 points. This means Mourinho’s cost per point was £310,227.27, with total earnings of £54.6 million during his tenure. Of course, he also won three trophies, including the UEFA Europa League, League Cup, and Community Shield, representing the greatest success any manager has achieved since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement.
