[Saba Sports News] Spanish driver Carlos Sainz has signed a contract with Williams for 2025 and beyond, replacing American driver Logan Sargeant. Williams team principal James Vowles thanked Sargeant on social media for his contributions. However, in an interview with Italian website form1a, Vowles did not rule out the possibility of Sargeant losing his seat after the summer break. Sargeant has yet to score points in the 2024 season and has caused budgetary pressure on Williams due to crash damages. Vowles’ close relationship with Mercedes CEO Toto Wolff might lead to Andrea Kimi Antonelli making his F1 debut with Williams before his official debut with Mercedes in 2025. Fans speculate that Williams might replace Sargeant with Antonelli before the end of the 2024 season.
