Sports News] Before the Premier League match between Sheffield United and
Arsenal, Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta spoke to the media and shared his fondness
for Barcelona. He revealed that he fell in love with Barcelona as a team at the
age of six and spent some of the best years of his life there. Arteta started
his football journey with Barcelona and went on to play for various clubs,
enjoying a successful career. Some media outlets interpreted Arteta’s comments
as a gesture of goodwill towards Barcelona, especially since Barcelona coach
Xavi is set to leave at the end of the season, and the club has yet to announce
a replacement. Speculation has arisen that Arteta may be interested in coaching
Barcelona in the future. It is worth noting that Arteta joined Barcelona’s U19
team in the summer of 1997 and later went on loan to Paris Saint-Germain in
January 2001. After his loan spell, Arteta left Barcelona and joined Glasgow
Rangers.
