[Saba Sports News] Numerous Malaysian badminton players gathered during the Lunar New Year, and former Japanese women’s singles star Aya Ohori, who retired last year, made a surprise appearance, becoming the focus of fans’ discussions. According to a group photo shared on social media by Malaysian mixed doubles player Goh Soon Huat, attendees included couples Goh and Shevon Jemie Lai, men’s doubles players Goh Szefei and Nur Izzuddin Rumsani, Ong Yew Sin and Teo Ee Yi, mixed doubles players Tan Kian Meng and Lai Pei Jing, along with freestyler coach Kok Siang Teo. However, the highlight was Aya Ohori standing next to Ong Yew Sin. In November last year, rumors circulated about a relationship between Ong and Ohori when their dating photos were shared by Malaysian media “MS SPORTS” across various platforms, with captions suggesting a “public secret” and best wishes for them. The photos showed the two in couple outfits shopping together but not holding hands. Later, both Ong and Ohori were invited to participate in the BDMNTN-XL commercial league held in Indonesia. Although they were not placed in the same group during the competition, observant fans noted their frequent interactions. Ohori’s high-profile appearance at the gathering further solidifies rumors of her relationship with Ong.
