[Saba Sports News] According to British media reports, fans were shocked to discover that the cost of watching a Bayern Munich match is actually cheaper than all EFL clubs in England, even three times cheaper than Shrewsbury’s season tickets. German football is known for reasonable ticket prices and a passionate fan culture, and the ticket prices for the 2025-26 Bundesliga season once again highlight the huge gap between the German and English leagues. Surprisingly, in this season’s 18 Bundesliga teams, only Wolfsburg (GBP 136) and Hoffenheim (GBP 128) had lower minimum adult season tickets than Bayern Munich. The most basic adult season ticket at Bayern Munich costs just GBP 149, which equals about GBP 8.76 per match. The highest-priced lowest-tier tickets in the Bundesliga were at Borussia Dortmund (GBP 221), Cologne (GBP 214), and RB Leipzig (GBP 208), with an average of just GBP 170. This contrasts sharply with the prices in the English Football League (EFL), as Bayern Munich’s GBP 149 season ticket is GBP 50 cheaper than the cheapest in League Two, Fleetwood Town (GBP 199).
