[Saba Sports News] BBC F1 host Jennie Gow put forward a wild theory about who should replace Sergio Perez at Red Bull: she suggested that Red Bull sign Valtteri Bottas. This season, Perez has failed to win a single Grand Prix, currently sitting eighth in the driver standings. In fact, in the last 15 races, Perez has never ranked higher than sixth in the races. Due to his poor performance, Perez is likely to be dismissed by Red Bull after the Abu Dhabi finale, and the team is looking for a temporary solution for the second seat. In this regard, Jennie Gow believes on her podcast “The Fast and Curious” that Bottas would be the ideal solution to Red Bull’s driver dilemma. She noted that Bottas is very fast, has a strong team spirit, and only does what he is asked to do. Jennie further elaborated that Carlos Sainz cannot go to Red Bull because he has signed with the Williams team; secondly, Max Verstappen’s father Jos Verstappen and Sainz’s father Carlos Sainz were rivals, and they are not a good fit together. To avoid internal conflicts, Sainz cannot occupy the second seat, but a driver like Bottas could.
