[Saba Sports News] Recently, Sky Sports F1 reporter Natalie Pinkham revealed on the Amanda Wakeley Style DNA podcast that former F1 CEO Bernie Ecclestone once intervened to stop the media from publishing a secretly taken ‘upskirt’ photo of her. Natalie Pinkham shared her painful lesson on the podcast: Years ago at the Korean Grand Prix, her skirt was blown up by the wind, unfortunately captured by a photographer, and the photo was set to be published in the UK’s The Sun newspaper. After she told Bernie Ecclestone, he immediately called the photographer and threatened: “If that picture comes out, your pass will be invalid for the next race. You can’t sell out Natalie like that.” Regarding this, Natalie Pinkham said: “I thought to myself, wow, he’s a feminist! Although everyone knows Bernie used to like ‘grid girls’ and such, he has two daughters and a great wife. In that moment, he was really standing up for a woman.” During the program, Natalie Pinkham also discussed the contradiction in choosing outfits for the paddock: balancing practicality with the desire to express personal style. Natalie Pinkham said: “I love wearing a waistcoat with wide-leg trousers, although some people don’t like it, especially some men, but we don’t dress to please them.”
