[Saba Sports News] According to French media reports, French club Bordeaux may be sold to Fenway Sports Group, the owner of Liverpool FC. Bordeaux owner Gerard Lopez is in talks with Fenway Sports Group, hoping to sell a majority stake in the club. On Tuesday, the Financial Oversight Committee (DNCG) held another hearing. Lopez and three representatives from Fenway Sports Group were present. Previously, Lopez had intended to bring in a few investors to secure a six-year loan of 80 million to 100 million euros, but he eventually changed his mind. If Bordeaux fails to pass the Financial Oversight Committee’s review, they will only be able to play in France C. Therefore, Bordeaux will appeal and seek to sell the club before the start of Ligue 2 on August 17.
