[Saba Sports News] According to RN365, Gabriel Bortoleto hopes to potentially become teammates with Max Verstappen in the future, but he “insists” the four-time F1 world champion must join him at Audi. The Brazilian driver has formed a strong friendship with the Red Bull driver through their shared love of gaming and sim racing, and Verstappen has been a key source of advice during Bortoleto’s rookie F2 championship season. When asked by media if he would like to race alongside the Dutch driver someday, the Sauber driver said he would under his conditions, emphasizing Verstappen’s value. Gabriel Bortoleto told media: “Maybe one day he will come to Audi. As friends, we work very well together. He has helped me a lot. I truly think he would be a great teammate from the perspective of building and uniting a team. He didn’t win four championships by luck. He won because he joined a team that wasn’t initially a world champion team, and then he worked with the team to make it a winning one. So I think maybe it could be a good thing to work together. But again, if one day he can come to Audi – I’m very happy with my current situation and very happy with the project we are developing.”
