[Saba Sports News] Bronny James recently spoke with ESPN, ranking his all-time favorite NBA players. Unsurprisingly, his father, LeBron James, topped the list. He also named Stephen Curry, Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant, Anthony Edwards, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander among his favorites.
“LeBron – one, Steph – two, Kyrie – three, KD – four, and Ant and Shai tied for five,” Bronny said. He also named soccer star Neymar Jr. as his favorite athlete outside of basketball and recalled being star-struck when he first met Stephen Curry.
At the NBA Summer League, Bronny has been a central figure despite not being a first-round draft pick. His performance has been underwhelming, with 15 points over three games, shooting 6-26 from the field and 0-12 from three-point range.
Bronny acknowledged his struggles and expressed a commitment to improve by watching game films. He is open to playing in the G-League, stating he looks forward to playing basketball at any level and recognizing he is in a slump.
Lakers head coach JJ Redick expressed confidence in Bronny, calling him a great prospect with a strong work ethic. Redick believes Bronny can play a significant role on the Lakers if he develops properly in the G-League, which will be a key focus in the coming year.
