[Saba Sports News] The Los Angeles Clippers are gearing up for a significant transformation alongside their move to the forthcoming $2 billion Intuit Dome in Inglewood next season. On Monday, the franchise revealed a comprehensive rebrand that includes new logos and uniforms set to be introduced in the 2024-2025 season.
The updated primary logo draws inspiration from nautical themes, showcasing a ship adorned with basketball lines on its hull, encased within a C-shaped compass. The revamped uniforms retain a classic font but shift the color emphasis towards navy blue, and the team’s new court will prominently feature this new logo.
Clippers owner Steve Ballmer, in discussions with ESPN’s Zach Lowe, mentioned he had contemplated a name change for the team but ultimately decided against it after recognizing the depth of the fans’ connection to the Clippers brand.
The rebranding effort aims to honor the franchise’s origins while adopting the slogan “Make Waves” to signify a new chapter in the team’s identity. This rebranding initiative is part of a broader strategy to foster a stronger home-court advantage at the Intuit Dome and has so far received a largely positive response from the fanbase, signaling a fresh wave of enthusiasm for the Clippers’ future.
