His girlfriend is Duda Gaspar, the 19-year-old daughter of Edu, the global director of football at Nottingham Forest. Duda posted a photo of the two together in a bar on Instagram, with her arm around Luiz’s shoulder. She wrote affectionately in the caption: “You are my greatest certainty,” followed by a heart emoji. Luiz also replied under the same photo: “Making you happy is my top priority.” It is unclear exactly how long the two have been dating, or whether Luiz knew Duda before his loan move to Nottingham Forest. However, Duda’s future whereabouts may depend on her father’s situation. Sources say Edu is facing the risk of being sacked after being banned from entering Nottingham Forest’s training ground. If he is dismissed and returns to Brazil, Duda is likely to leave the UK with him.
