[Saba Sports News] Alperen Sengun got his revenge—and then some—on Draymond Green during Sunday’s Game 1 of the playoffs.
Early in the first quarter of the Rockets’ series opener against the Golden State Warriors, Sengun delivered a highlight-reel moment at Green’s expense. Less than two minutes into the game, Sengun took a pass from teammate Jalen Green and had a wide-open runway to the rim.
Draymond Green rotated over to help, but he was far too late—Sengun threw down a thunderous dunk right over the former Defensive Player of the Year, posterizing him in brutal fashion.
Green, who’s been campaigning for another DPOY award this season—and is even a finalist—might want to erase this clip from existence.
The dunk carried extra weight given the recent history between the two. In their previous matchup on April 6, Green delivered a hard elbow to Sengun’s face during a physical contest the Rockets ultimately won, 106-96. Though Houston came out on top, Sengun took a clear shot in the process.
This time around, the 6-foot-11 Sengun turned the tables. He used his size and strength to dominate the 6-foot-6 Green in a moment that will be replayed on highlight reels for days.
It’s rare for Green to be dunked on so emphatically, but this one joins a growing list of embarrassing moments he’s endured lately.
