After the match, Abdoulaye Doucoure celebrated in a way that provoked Liverpool fans, prompting Curtis Jones to confront him, leading to a brawl between the two teams. Doucoure and Curtis Jones were both sent off after receiving second yellow cards. Liverpool’s head coach, Arne Slot, was given a straight red card while discussing matters with the referee Michael Oliver after the match, and his assistant coach, Sipke Hulshoff, was also sent off. Recently, the FA issued a statement indicating that both clubs failed to ensure their players and technical area personnel maintained appropriate conduct after the final whistle, exhibiting improper and/or provocative actions. Liverpool head coach Slot is accused of improper behavior towards the match officials and/or using abusive, aggressive language and gestures after the match. Liverpool assistant coach Hulshoff is accused of improper behavior towards match officials and/or using insulting language, which directly led to his dismissal. The disciplinary committee has requested that Everton and Liverpool clubs, along with Slot and Hulshoff, submit a formal response by February 19.
