[Saba Sports News] Last Friday during the first practice session at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, Yuki Tsunoda and Franco Colapinto had a minor conflict. Fans of Colapinto released nauseating comments targeting Tsunoda on social media using Spanish. Upon learning about this incident, Colapinto took crisis control measures and immediately appealed to his fans to remain calm and respectful; Tsunoda called on F1 to take action. Subsequently, International Automobile Federation (FIA) President Mohammed Ben Sulayem issued a statement in support of Tsunoda. In the statement, Sulayem pointed out that no driver should endure the same situation as Tsunoda; he also expressed gratitude to the two drivers for bravely standing up against the increasingly serious phenomenon of online abuse in motorsports. Sulayem reiterated that motorsport is built on the foundations of competition, passion, and commitment, and every driver stepping onto the track represents these values. Our passion and enthusiasm for this sport should unite us, not distort into cyberbullying or hatred.
