[Saba Sports News] The Memphis Grizzlies have received encouraging news regarding Brandon Clarke, their injured big man. Marc J. Spears of Andscape reported that Clarke expects to return around the NBA All-Star break. Clarke, who has been sidelined for the entire 2023-24 season due to a torn left Achilles, recently shared a video on Instagram showcasing his progress by dunking, a significant milestone in his rehab.
Clarke, 27, suffered the Achilles rupture in March of the previous year. Such injuries typically require over a year of recovery, leading to speculation that he might miss the entire season. However, his anticipated return around the All-Star break is a positive development for the Grizzlies, who have been missing his contributions off the bench, including career averages of 10.7 points and 5.7 rebounds in 21.3 minutes per game.
The Grizzlies faced challenges early in the season, going 6-19 during Ja Morant’s suspension. Now with Morant back and Clarke potentially returning soon, the team could see a significant boost in their performance.
