[Saba Sports News] Recently, Lewis Hamilton, the
seven-time Formula 1 world champion, expressed his positive opinion about the
movie “Ferrari” directed by Michael Mann during an interview. He
mentioned his appreciation for the film, stating that the racing depicted in it
was intense and thrilling. Hamilton went on to express that, in his opinion, no
other racing movie could surpass it. He acknowledged the challenges of
capturing the true essence and adrenaline rush of racing on film, and commended
Michael Mann’s team for their exceptional work in this regard. Some fans
jokingly speculated that Hamilton’s endorsement might be a result of the
movie’s unsatisfactory box office performance, suggesting that they sought his
help in promoting it. “Ferrari” is reportedly based on the autobiography
“Enzo Ferrari: The Furious Machine” and focuses on the summer of
1957, portraying the legendary competition between Ferrari and Maserati for
dominance on the track. However, the movie has received mixed reviews from
Ferrari fans, with a modest rating of 5.5 points on Douban, a popular Chinese
film review platform. Criticisms include the slow pacing of the literary and
dramatic elements, as well as the ordinary portrayal of the love triangle
between the wife and mistress.
