However, Hamilton denied that his subsequent social media post was related to these comments, emphasizing that he was unaware of the chairman’s remarks when he posted. He said he posted the message and then boarded a flight, only learning about the public discussion after arriving home. The post was merely his personal summary of that weekend’s events. Although Elkann’s words caused a stir, internal sources at Ferrari suggested his intention was motivational rather than critical. Hamilton responded to the queries with composure, stating that he and Elkann communicate almost every week and have a very good relationship. He noted that he did not react specifically to the chairman’s comments and generally does not pay much attention to such remarks. It was reported that several hours after Elkann’s comments, Hamilton posted a message on social media that many interpreted as a pointed response: “I back my team and I believe in myself. I won’t give up. Never did, never will.” The post was accompanied by a collage of photos from his Brazilian Grand Prix weekend.
