[Saba Sports News] Following the recently concluded F1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix, Ferrari driver Lewis Hamilton spoke to the media, stating bluntly: “McLaren has been performing excellently all season, and we haven’t made any progress. Red Bull brought an upgraded floor to the last race, and now their speed has increased again; they will win more races going forward.” The Ferrari team introduced several technical upgrades mid-season, including improvements to the rear suspension system, floor design, and steering system. However, the effectiveness of these upgrades has not yet fully materialized and requires more time for validation. In the previous Belgian Grand Prix, despite Ferrari introducing a much-anticipated rear suspension upgrade for the SF-25 car, it failed to significantly close the gap to McLaren. We believe that Ferrari can only aim for more points this season, as a reversal of fortunes is highly unlikely. They should focus entirely on the new 2026 F1 season, which will introduce new power unit regulations that could reshape teams’ technical approaches. As a traditional engine manufacturer, if Ferrari can plan ahead for hybrid power technology, it might achieve a breakthrough in future seasons.
