Taylor Ward said she received a call from her husband, Riyad Mahrez, on the last day of her vacation in Turkey in July 2023, telling her that he would leave for Saudi Arabia the next day: “I thought he was joking, and I cried right away. Honestly, I couldn’t accept it.” However, two years later, this couple and their two-year-old daughter still live in Jeddah, a port city on the Red Sea in Saudi Arabia. Taylor Ward revealed that they currently live in a quiet community in Jeddah, in a spacious and luxurious house, a very magnificent building made of white stone, wood, and glass. The interior decoration mainly uses cream tones, from sofas to dining chairs, walls to tapestries, all personally arranged by Taylor: “It’s hard to find a smaller house in Saudi Arabia; the houses here often have 16 bedrooms, which is too extravagant.” Ultimately, the Mahrez family chose a house with eight bedrooms. Taylor Ward said that she feels safer in Jeddah than in Cheshire. In the UK, some footballers’ homes have been burglarized, and now she can finally sleep soundly.
