[Saba Sports News] According to the latest news from Malaysian media, Malaysian coach Huang Daming has been hospitalized since an unfortunate car accident in September this year. Recently, there is finally good news regarding Coach Huang Daming. After a long period of recovery, he is expected to be discharged this weekend and can already walk with the aid of crutches. Huang Daming has left a significant mark on Malaysian badminton, with achievements spanning both player and coach roles. As an outstanding locally-trained player, he was a core member of the Malaysian national team, winning numerous honors for the country in various competitions. After retiring and transitioning to coaching, his coaching talent became even more apparent. He initially joined the Malaysian national team as an assistant to a meritorious coach, gained experience, and was promoted to a main coach. He took charge of and meticulously guided many local players, including Malaysia’s top women’s singles player, helping them emerge in the badminton world. His collaboration with top Malaysian men’s singles player Lee Zii Jia is considered classic. As an independent coach, he guided the inconsistently performing Lee Zii Jia to regain form, not only helping him return to the world’s top ranks but also achieving repeated success in international competitions, notably winning a men’s singles bronze medal for Malaysia at the Olympic Games.
