[Saba Sports News] Despite mixed reactions to his Dunk Contest performance, Jaylen Brown of the Boston Celtics remains open to participating again. After coming in second to Mac McClung in the 2024 contest, Brown was asked about rejoining the competition in 2025. His response, as reported by Jared Weiss of The Athletic, was candid: “If they ask me and nobody else cares to do it, I’ll do it again.”
Brown’s participation drew some criticism, with suggestions that his scores benefitted from his status as the most prominent star in the contest. Moreover, a missed dunk by the TNT broadcast didn’t help his case. Despite these challenges, Brown brushed off the critiques and indicated a willingness to compete again if the NBA sought his star power.
