[Saba Sports News] Kevin Durant was cleared to play in Sunday’s game against Serbia after missing all of Team USA’s training camp with a calf injury. Calling his performance impressive would be an understatement.
Coming off the bench, Durant immediately caught fire, scoring 14 points on 5/5 shooting, including 4/4 from three-point range in his first 7 minutes. After a brief rest, he continued his hot streak, finishing the first half with 19 points, going 7/7 overall and 5/5 from three.
Earlier reports suggested Durant might miss the game, but his performance showed he was in top form, likely dismissing those concerns as nonsense.
