[Saba Sports News] It turns out Mario Chalmers might finally have some company.
LeBron James had an animated moment during the second quarter of Sunday’s game between the Lakers and the Oklahoma City Thunder.
After a missed shot by OKC forward Jalen Williams, the Lakers gave up an offensive rebound to Aaron Wiggins—thanks to Rui Hachimura’s lapse in boxing out. Though the Lakers dodged a bullet when Thunder guard Alex Caruso bricked the follow-up three, Hachimura wasn’t so lucky. James let him hear it after the ball bounced out of bounds.
To be fair, Williams’ shot took a strange bounce off the rim, but Hachimura still could’ve done a better job putting a body on Wiggins—something LeBron clearly felt strongly about.
Fortunately for the Lakers, the exchange was just a minor blip in an otherwise dominant 126-99 win over the league-leading Thunder. James finished with 19 points and seven assists, while Hachimura contributed 11 points and seven boards.
The Lakers are starting to find their stride just in time for the playoffs. Still, that might have been the angriest we’ve seen LeBron during a game since the Darvin Ham era.
