[Saba Sports News] Ferrari Chairman John Elkann publicly expressed dissatisfaction after the Sao Paulo Grand Prix, emphasizing that the team’s performance fell far short of expectations. Charles Leclerc did not shy away from this, pointing out that when you drive for Ferrari, only winning counts as meeting the standard – this is the team’s culture and pressure. He admitted that facing strong opponents is not easy, especially when competitors also have deep foundations and long-term accumulation. However, for the Ferrari team, not winning means failing to meet the required standard. If Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton fail to win a Grand Prix in the remaining three races, this will mark Ferrari’s first winless season since 2021. Nevertheless, Leclerc also emphasized that the season has not been entirely without merit. At the beginning of the season, the new car was difficult to control, and the team took a long time to find the right direction. Now, they are gradually closing in on the front-running teams. Leclerc believes the progress from the start of the season to now is very evident, and this growth is commendable. Despite this, he insists that the Ferrari team must aim for victory as the ultimate goal, not just second place.
