[Saba Sports News] The 2025 Asia-Pacific U30 Outstanding Young Leaders list was recently announced. Notably, Malaysian men’s singles badminton star Lee Zii Jia successfully made the list and is the sole representative from Malaysia. This list was released by the Asia Pacific Youth Leadership Project “APEA” during the APEC summit in South Korea. It primarily honors elites under the age of 30 from the Asia-Pacific region who have demonstrated outstanding performance in their respective fields and have had a positive impact on society. Lee Zii Jia has achieved remarkable success in badminton. He is the 2021 All England Open men’s singles champion, the 2024 Paris Olympic Games badminton men’s singles bronze medalist, and has also won numerous honors including the 2022 Asian Badminton Team Championships (men’s team) and the 2022 Asian Badminton Championships men’s singles title. His selection onto this list is a full affirmation of his fighting spirit and exceptional skills on the sports field, highlighting his significant status in the badminton world of the Asia-Pacific region.
